The show season is almost over for these two stallions, both will spend a few months doing breeding duties so now they are ready to be turned out for the breeding season.
Amanda and Courtney got the wonderful job to clip and turn out the boys this season, Everyone knows that Max (Sir Amour HX) and Rockett (Kaine's Rockett) are best friends and when they get out together they are super eager to rough house each other, so moving them from stable to paddock can be quite the challenge. Both boys were clipped this morning as we find since they spend 2-3 months together, 24/7 they do work up a sweat, and those thick winter coats can be tiresome (yes, 5 days until winter hits!

"are you ready for this?" Amanda with a halter in hand. "ill take Rockett, he is such a dick this time of the year, honestly sometimes I wonder why Erin keeps him a stallion" Courtney laughed as she lead a well rested Max out of his stable.
"you shouldn't speak ill of him while he is next to you, you know what he is like, he is easily offended!"
"yeah, good luck to him, I am a force to be reckoned with!" Amanda proudly posed, Rockett was already looking tiresome of her behavior.
It's always fun and games at Illawarra, we are like a big family, we have problems, we have fun and most of we are professionals, most of the times.
"I'll go first, Max likes to chase Rockett so we will go slowly and hopefully get there is one piece, well at least the get the boys there....in one piece" Courtney lead the black stallion out of the barn and towards the back paddock, Max had a very successful show season bringing home a 1st in his first halter show, we are excited to see his results from Wallflower Horse Trials, his dressage test was flawless at most.
Max walked along causally, well until he reached the gate of the paddock.
"alright Max, unlike last year, how about we actually let me open the gate before you barge through it? eh?" Once again, the stallion pushed through the gate, way over excited to be in the paddock once again.
"how you doing down there?" Courtney yelled, Amanda was not having the easiest time, Rockett was not having a bar of being patient, he took off down the fence line, Amanda in toe.
"Oh yeah, we are having a blast" Amanda yelled as she tried to keep up with Rockett, 17 hands of testosterone was not an easy feat.
Amanda glared as she walked in with Rockett, puffing with red hands.
Both the stallions bolted off without even looking back, I guess they were happy to be rid of their handlers.
"Told you he gets offended"
"I hate him"
Courtney laughed.
"Come on, the sun is setting, lets go get some dinner, you can tell me all about how much you love that horse"
"and I hate you" Amanda laughed.
