DEVON'S MAVERICKThis boy is a wonderful mover: elastic walk, steady trot with great hindleg and a very elegant uphill canter. Maverick's extremely smart and will hardly make a good first impression on grooms and riders with his testy attitude. He's an enthusiastic worker and is rarely bored in the arena. At the barn he rather be left alone - unless there are treats involved.

LITTLE STALLION SHOWCASE First off, a long time Devon Hills resident, Katover K. He's got a coat glow up and will be back to work for the upcoming shows. He's come a long way since last year and is jumping lights out in training. Introducing newcomer numero uno, Devon's Antioch. He's an 8yo, 175cm stallion, with the broadest and most muscular build of any warmblood I've ever seen, he's so big and broad in fact that one might doubt his jumping ability, but he absolutely soars when he wants to. Don't let his cute face and good ground manners fool you though, Antioch is here because he's nearly unrideable. He's a very lazy and laid back boy, frustratingly difficult to motivate, very tough to steer (even a 20m circle is an herculean task with him), he can be just plain dismissive of aids and will just lazily canter off the arena, rider and all, if he's not in the mood for work. Newcomer numero dos, Devon's Achaemedes. This is a 4yo homebred, son of Agent Cooper and Clementine, 167cm stallion, and he's gold. Like Antioch, he's a thick and muscular horse, but, unlike Antioch, Achaemedes has the motivation and energy to do anything that's asked of him. Sometimes he has a hormonal freakout near mares, getting all prancy fancy and distracted, which is tolerable for a young stud, yet he never goes so far as to disrespect and ignore people.
