Magnolia County Stallion Showcase
The show grounds should appear standard and simple. The venue hosts a covered awning for judges, scattered picnic tables, and a small concessions stand is available for visitors. Spectators are encouraged to bring their own chairs, as bleacher seating is limited. Bathrooms are barely one step up from a Port-o-Potty, but, hay, entry is free for spectators!
Unfortunately, this is such a low key event that the local news deemed it unworthy of their time, but, not to worry! Your road to fame doesn't end here. An equestrian blogger named Alex* has come to the grounds to get pictures of the event for their notable online following. With any luck, they might feature you and your stallion on the homepage of their website or social media!
*You have full creative rights to determine who Alex is! They can play a role in your entry, but who they are and whether they show up in your event experience is totally up to you.

LOCAL SHOW - ALL BREEDS - ENDS JUNE 30 11:59pm EST
Location & Show Setup
This is a Local event, meaning it's hosted at a simple venue in a town or small city near you! You'll not be traveling more than a few hours outside of town, so the season and location should still be representative of your own stable's home world.

- All breeds allowed (including invented and fantasy breeds). Categories listed below.
- You will not be penalized for unrealistic entries, but it may impact the judging and thus your placing in the show.
- Refusals, bad behavior, or injuries shown in your entry will not affect your ability to win the show overall.
- All cash play is optional! If you don't play with cash, you can ignore the fees and payouts.
- As this is a stallion show, handlers are encouraged to do their best to hang on tight to their cargo. We don't need any loose stallions running around causing problems!
ESRPG (OPTIONAL)
After your entry is submitted, you may collect:
- +2 SP (Skill Points) and +1 additional Skill Point per 1st place win
- +50 BP (Breeder Points)

Entry Requirements
EVENT PREREQUISITES- There are no prerequisites for this show!
PHOTO REQUIREMENTS
- One picture per entry (photo-in-photo is okay). This is a stallion showcase, so the stallion presented must be fully visible. However, all angles are permitted so feel free to get creative
- Sky's the limit! You may present your stallion in any way you feel inspired to do so. This can be through an IG story, from the POV of a character, on Alex's website, etc.
- Stallions should be presented either in an outdoor or covered arena with sand or grass footing.
- Handlers do not have to be visible in the photo, but it should be clear in the conformation classes that they have a handler.
- Photos must be taken during the day. The weather should feature clear or partly cloudy skies (no rain or dark overcast).
- Your location or backdrop should have the look and feel of a local, small-time venue. No super fancy or luxurious equestrian complexes. No huge grandstands (remember seating is limited!).
- Please maintain realism by using poses that accurately reflect your horse's experience level, age, and breed.
WRITTEN REQUIREMENTS
- You must include a minimum 2-sentence caption along with your photo. It *is* required and will be factored into your creativity score. This written portion may be included ON your photo, but it must also be typed out along with your submission here on the forum (for accessibility purposes).
- The written portion may be in your character's native language but must be translated for submission. You will not be scored based on your quality of English.
- You're encouraged to get in character here! Your caption can be dialogue or a short story, but try to go a little deeper than just describing what we're already seeing in the photo.
Turnout Guidelines
- Stallions must wear a bridle (with or without noseband) with a simple bit (O-ring, D-ring or Eggbutt) or a halter (leather preferred). Chains and other metal decorative accessories are allowed.
- Mane and tail may be left loose or braided as befitting their breed, but must be kept neat regardless of style.
- Handlers are required to wear the appropriate attire. As this is a Local show, casual dress outfits (jeans and a button-down shirt), riding outfit, or simple business attire are acceptable. No shorts, open-toe shoes, or heels. Gloves and helmets are not mandatory.
Judging & Prizes
To be absolutely clear: this is not a grading show. This show brings stallions in from all over the area, featuring (and celebrating!) breeds that originate from all over the world, and we simply don't have the budget to hire judges qualified to grade the quality of conformation for each one. However! Our judges–a group which includes your fellow community members–are perfectly capable of scoring entries based on the following criteria:
- Creativity and Originality – Does your entry stand out from the rest? Does it tell a story?
- Presence – Does your stallion turn heads in the crowd? Are they flashy and beautifully done-up?
- Atmosphere – Does the venue feel local? Was there effort put into the set/backdrop? Does it follow the above show location and setup guidelines?
- Turnout – Are the horse and handler correctly turned out based on the above guidelines?
- Overall Execution – If in the editing class, is the editing clean and polished? Are there any glaring flaws?
This event will be judged both by community vote and by the show runner after the show is closed. A poll will be set up for the community and entrants to vote on their favorite stallions that were presented during this show, as outlined below:
