Stallion's Name: Wayward What you Need Stallion's Age: 7 Breed: Spanish Sports Horse (CDE) Location: Alberta, Canada Stable Represented: Sunny Creeks Breed Category: Warmblood Class: Conformation Class 101-BG
As the sun bathed the Magnolia County Stallion Showcase, Santiago led Wayward What You Need—affectionately known as Neddy—into the ring. The striking stallion pranced with an air of confidence, his coat gleaming and muscles rippling. Neddy, though still relatively inexperienced in competition, exuded a natural flashiness that turned heads wherever he went. For the past four years, Santiago had worked tirelessly with Neddy, harnessing the stallion's feisty temperament and honing his raw potential. Today, their hard work was on full display. Neddy seemed to understand the importance of the moment, his usual spirited behavior tempered by a surprising composure. He moved with grace and stood still and patiently in the ring, responding to Santiago's cues with precision, a testament to their growing partnership. Among the spectators, equestrian blogger Alex snapped away, capturing the elegance and charm of the event for their large online following. Known for featuring standout moments from the equestrian world, Alex's presence added an extra layer of excitement. With any luck, Santiago and Neddy might grace the homepage of Alex's popular website, a spotlight that could boost their journey in the competitive arena. As the showcase continued, Santiago felt a surge of pride. Neddy, with his striking looks and undeniable presence, had behaved impeccably, marking a significant step in their shared journey. The future looked bright for this dynamic duo, and today was just the beginning.

Stallion's Name: QCA Swiftwinds Stallion's Age: 7 Breed: Arabian Location: Queen Creek, Arizona Stable Represented: Queen Creek Arabians Breed Category: Hotbloods Class: 201-BG Tudor stands near the gate while his sister takes her turn in the ring with Desi, impressed by the fact the 19 year old does much better than he expects her too.
Socks on the other hand? Well, the alpha stallion of Queen Creek Arabian's herd is less than impressed by Desi's showy antics in the ring. He registers his disapproval in a series of loud snorts, evoking a "Stop it," from his handler, who happens to be very no nonsense.
When Desi's turn in the ring is done and the gate opens, Tudor has to use a strong arm to keep his fiery stallion under his control. Socks prances sideways pawing at the ground for a moment before he's led into the ring, and can scarcely stand still while Tudor removes his halter.
Then he is off at a fiery gallop, displaying to one and all why he is the alpha of the herd!

Stallion's Name: QCA Vortex Stallion's Age: 6 Breed: Arabian Location: Queen Creek, Arizona Stable Represented: Queen Creek Arabians Breed Category: Hotbloods Class: 101-BG
Eleanor Jennings calmly leads Tex into the show ring. The stallion holds his head proud and there is a spring in his step as he moves along beside her. The energy here is low-key, without the usual whooping and hollering that is afforded the horses at breed exclusive Arabian shows. It's no matter, ultimately, because Tex burns with an inner fire that is characteristic of his breed. It takes a few moments of dancing around in circles before Eleanor gets the stud to stand up strong and still for the judges to approach.

Stallion's Name: RL Jester Jet Stallion's Age: 5 Breed: Appaloosa Location: Queen Creek, Arizona Stable Represented: Queen Creek Arabians Breed Category: Stocks Class: 201-BG
Here comes Jet. Calm, loyal, dependable. Not for him all the fancy dancing and snorting that his barn mates feel so inclined to display. By contrast, Jet is solid and strong jogging easily at Robbie's side. Robbie is convinced he's got the easiest job of the handlers today. While he enjoys his fiancé's fiery Arabians, he'll take the stocks any day of the week.

Stallion's Name: Llanarth Killian Stallion's Age: 7 Breed: Welsh Pony (Section B) Location: Oulu, Finland Stable Represented: Stall Eldaway Breed Category: Ponies Class: Conformation Class 101-BG
“Stop it”, Ronja murmured at the stallion before flashing a gentle smile at the judge making their notes. Killian, who usually was a saint and very calm for a stallion, was now stepping on the spot and kept moving his head around to look at people and horses moving around the arena. Ronja frowned at the stallion. “No skedaddling today! Your stallion privileges may be prohibited anytime.” Killian turned his left ear towards her before sighing quietly and tugging his head to the side to look at the butterfly flying behind him.

Stallion's Name: Eldaways Apollo Stallion's Age: 4 Breed: Welsh Pony (Section B) Location: Oulu, Finland Stable Represented: Stall Eldaway Breed Category: Ponies Class: Conformation Class 101-BG
Apollo looked amazing, and Rosanna felt torn. The stallion, the first horse to carry the Eldaway prefix, had inherited his dam’s amazing nature and his sire’s flashy gaits. There was no reason for Rosanna to keep him though, since she couldn’t use him on her own mares. Unfortunately, the turnout requirements probably wouldn’t have allowed a giant sign with “FOR LEASE” written on it on his neck. The stallion show was for all breeds, so chances of finding a potential lessee for Apollo were slight, but Rosanna still had asked the show hosts if they could mention the lease option when announcing them.

Stallion's Name: Nuivan Metku Stallion's Age: 6 Breed: Finnhorse Location: Oulu, Finland Stable Represented: Stall Eldaway Breed Category: Coldbloods Class: Movement Class 201-BG
[From Alex's Instagram post] The Magnolia stallion show was boring as expected, but there is always something interesting to talk about. Rosanna Lind was spotted with her ... bunch (meaning her sister and three stallions) at the show. Rosanna popped into the equestrian community out of nowhere a few years ago and no one really knows anything about her. Except that she has the lettuce and cabbage to run a stable. And how come she got her hands on a young Finnhorse stallion from the renowned Finnhorse studdery Stall Nuiva, which called it quits years ago? Well, I must admit Nuivan Metku got the flashy gaits not many Finnhorses offer.

Stallion's Name: CE Silver Crown Stallion's Age: 5 y/o Breed: Hanoverian Location: Canterbury, UK Stable Represented: Crystal Cove Equestrian Breed Category: Warmbloods Class: Conformation Class 101-BG
The day of the show arrived with a brisk wind as Daniel led Crown into the arena. He’d woken up at the crack of dawn to get the stallion looking perfect, this was his debut show after all! With a dazzling coat and not a hair out of place, he was sure to turn heads. Everything was going swimmingly until a strong gust of wind blew, sweeping the stallions’ mane up and sending strands flying. In an instant his hard work had been undone, the previously prim and proper mane now a disheveled mess. Crown seemed to be enjoying himself though, and that’s all that truly mattered in his eyes.

Stallion's Name: CE Sugar Bandit Stallion's Age: 5 y/o Breed: American Paint Horse Location: Canterbury, UK Stable Represented: Crystal Cove Equestrian Breed Category: Stocks Class: Movement Class 201-BG
Daniel led the young stallion into the arena thankful that the wind from earlier had died down. Bandit walked along quietly, behaving like a true gentleman not paying any mind to the small crowd on the side of the arena. He’d have to be sure and give him lots of treats later when they returned to the barn!

Stallion's Name: ABRC Skaldnir Stallion's Age: 16 Breed: Icelandic Horse Location: Finland Stable Represented: Stall Teitur Breed Category: Gaited Class: Conformation Class 101-E
It’s been years since I last stepped out of the office and entered a horse show myself. A small stallion show nearby felt like a good place to start, not too intimidating. I already knew most of the people in the audience. A lots of happy reunions and gossiping over cardboard coffee mugs. I was showing the Icey stallion Skaldnir, a funny little guy. He’s impressive, strong and stubborn, and yet so cuddly and sweet and friendly it’s adorable. His mane (and my hair) was neat by the show standards, I combed it for an hour! After the wind gust he ended up looking like straight out of a viking ship…

[googlefont=Spectral] Stallion's Name: Rothchild's Big Brother Stallion's Age: 6 y/o Breed: Irish Draught Location: Cladbridge-on-Stowe, Co. Kilkenny, Ireland Stable Represented: Roheryn Fields Stud Farm Breed Category: Warmbloods Class: Conformation Class 101-BG
It wasn't very often that Thomas Kensington was ever in the United States. He much preferred Ireland and it's quiet atmosphere. Magnolia County, described by locals as "small" was still much bigger than Thomas was comfortable with. However, he was here on business. Horse business. His prized stallion, Rothchild's Big Brother, better known as Ben, had been in Georgia for the last six months. What was he doing in Georgia you ask? Well, what any respectable stud does... Creating a new generation. Ben had been leased to provide a prestigious showjumping barn with fresh blood for their mares. Irish Draughts are renowned for their ability to improve bloodlines. They have made a tremendous impact at the upper levels of most every international discipline and the sturdy, well built Irish Draught is the foundation breed for such equine athletes. Both purebreds and partbreds alike are known for their performance superiority, intelligence, soundness and stamina. Ben is certainly no exception. This stallion is sturdy enough to pull a plough and perform hard work, yet athletic and bold enough to jump anything while out hunting. He's also extremely sensible, but flashy enough to pull the family trap to church on Sundays, which he does, regularly.
