eee, good to see you back!! i’ve missed you and your pretty pons 💖 your poor horses, basking in california-esque weather in finland. at least they look adorable! minni and kerttu are super cute (🥕🥕 for them), and i really love that picture of viljo. the way you draw manes so flawlessly and the perfection of your angles combines to make god-tier content 💯👌  Thank you so much for your kind words, they mean a world to me! I hope you can forgive me the lack of updates on Papsi (ECL Plumes de Papier); I feel so ashamed that I bought him ages ago and haven't had a chance to make a single update on him yet .____. However, he has had an active role at Ratsumäki and is currently ridden by Vilja Kuisma (after she started to date our young warmblood enthusiastic Oscar (...) she had to get a warmblood to ride too and after that Papsi has been her top priority). I hope to post about them anytime soon, I hope this quick text update helped a little to remove my guilt of not posting a pic of him yet  Ps. Minni & Kerttu enjoyed those carrots!

At summer we had time to do some small upgrades around the stables – or, if I'm honest, Viktor had time and divine resistance for the heat while I was hiding in any shadow I could find. However, one of the examples is our dressage arena in the middle of our stable yard. We replaced the old fences with a bit fancier ones, and Viktor let his creativeness fly and ended up adding some wooden logs all around the arena to give it a special northern look. I'm hoping to show you better photos of it anytime soon! To celebrate the renewed outdoor arena, Viktor resisted the heat for a while and took Veera with him to test it. "Veera thought it was solid ten out of ten", Viktor told me proudly after the training session.
A few words about Veera now when we finally got her in front of our camera: she is an eight years old smoky black Finnhorse mare from exquisite dressage bloodlines. Her sire is top titled dressage stallion Wäinö and her dam is one of our original mares; top titled dressage mare Kuutar. We have quite high hopes for this talented mare ♡

It's time to say goodbye to the summer and publish the final summer themed picture. I wanted it to be something special, and I chose this one featuring the original mares of Ratsumäki having time of their lives in the pasture. I hope some of you remember them from the early days! This granny league has been part of our story from the beginning. Who could believe that Omppu & Kuu are already 16 years old, Leila 18 years old and Tuikku 19, almost 20! Let me know who is your favourite ♡

Meet Mörkö! He is a six years young Finnhorse stallion by Wäinö and out of Herttanen. His dam hadn't been very generous when it came to her roan genes. Her previous foals R.M. Kerttunen (chestnut by Kaspadin) and R.M. Untuva (black by Unikuva) weren't lucky, but with Mörkö the planets were in just right position and we were finally spoiled with roan baby from her! Party pancakes! Here he is going to check out some forest paths with one of our new riders, Charlotta ♡
