BB's Roll The Dice aka Dieg0! Diego is a 5 year old Paint Sport Horse who just started his career in eventing. He's a very goofy and friendly gelding and cares most for children as he's shown with the lesson kids. He's also befriended one of our shetlands, Pumpkin, and the two can be the absolute cutest! So far, he hasn't competed in any shows but Jill is hoping to change that with a small one coming up in March then moving to larger ones once he's comfortable with the show environment. He excels in show jumping and dressage but he has trouble with confidence in the cross country scene. But, there's still a lot of room for improvement and Black Briar is proud to welcome a horse with such potential.

Brodie. She already knew it was him, and when he stuck his head over his door she smiled. "Hey there big fella." she cooed rubbing the star on his forehead. She realized the stallion hadn't been worked for a few days due to Liam working with other troubled lesson horses. Why not go for a ride? She was sure Liam wouldn't mind, the poor guy was exhausted and probably already asleep. So without a second thought she slipped his leather halter on and led him to the cross ties. By the time she mounted up the sky was reaching the stage of true black with stars drizzled across the night sky, and the moon was nowhere to be seen. And there, they started their ride of simple patterns and powerful movements that soothed her busy mind. Sometimes, late night rides are okay.

"BB's MaDe Yew LoOk" aka Joker Joker is an 8 year old warmblood stallion with a coat pattern so eye catching we couldn't help but change his name. The one he came with, "Checkers" was just not suitable for his beauty. So the name "Made yew look" came into play and boy did that do him justice. Almost everyone in the barn stopped to stare as he marched down the aisle with his ears pointed forward and tail raised high. It was almost as if he was saying. "Made you look!" The stallion is just beginning his career in dressage as he was previously trained in show jumping which was not his strongest suit if we're being honest. Liam will continue the stallion's training for the next few weeks and is even entering him in the "Great Valley Classic" show. So we'll keep you updated on his placing. Again, Black Briar is proud to welcome a horse so eye catching.

But seriously, how dusty could a horse get! He's been in his stall all day and still managed to have a coat of dirt. Ryan seemed unamused by her comment and continued to chomp away at the carrot she gifted him. If she wanted to ride before it got dark she'd have to work at lightning speed and her hands were already starting to ache after 5 minutes. She frowned and looked at the gelding when he stopped on the ground, sending dust on her black breeches. "Oh brother".

Jill was sad to see her heart horse roll down their dirt driveway but she to keep reminding herself that this was for the best. Romeo recently came up lame after a winter show and it turned out he has a large abscess growing on one of his back legs. If they were to remove it, the cost would've been very high and she simply does not have the money to spare. And there would be a high chance of him never getting back to their competing level in eventing so he's now going to a retirement farm in the USA where he'll live out his days pain free and his mouth full of grass. These events happened a few weeks ago, though Jill is still taking it hard. In the meantime she's been riding "Ryan's Inferno" an 8 year old Akhal Teke stallion who is showing great potential in the eventing field. Rather than being the end to an amazing season, it is only the start.

In the back is "Sunny's Child" aka Sunny who's a colt and the offspring of Merlot, an andalusian stallion. Both are almost yearlings.
