Our entry for the St Patrick's Day Show...
It was a perfect day for a show, it wasn't too hot or too cold, the sun was casting a warm glow on the course and the sky was a gorgeous shade of oranges and yellow. It was Jill's first time showing the young 6 year old stallion. His name was Golden Ticket or Charlie, named after Charlie and the Chocolate Factory if you haven't caught on. He was a relatively calm horse, knew his manners and didn't try to pounce on any of the mares around him. It was hard not to notice all the people that stared at her as she walked up to the start. It was a St. Patrick's Day show, she couldn't pass up the opportunity to deck both of them out in green. But..nobody was as decked out as much as they were so it made her a bit nervous that she went a little too far. It was also a last minute decision to buy a headband from the concessions and slap it on his bridle which to her surprise, stayed on the whole way. The two are very excited to find out their placings and wish luck to the other competitors.

(Featuring Jill and MoBamba aka Mo)The sky was gorgeous, how could the two not grab a quick picture after their training?
(I'm actually in love with this horse, It could be because I'm a sucker for appaloosa's but come on, how could you ignore that cute face!?)

Black Briar is proud to announce that our mare, Jupiter, is pregnant with the offspring of lunasmit 's stallion Mississippi Jack! We're excited to soon be welcoming a foal with the grace and stamina of Jupiter and the power and strength of Jack.

Black Briar has recently gotten two new arrivals! On the right is Dovahkiin aka Dragon and on the left is Roman War 300 aka Roman. Both are stallions and may be available for stud in the future.
Roman is a 7 years old warmblood and is a complete star in the show ring, he's powerful yet gentle, crazy yet keeps his composure and will gladly accept a carrot after training. We're hoping he'll be the next star on our jumping team.
Dragon is 4 year old paint sport horse and just recently started his training in eventing. He is bold and isn't afraid to tell you when you've done something wrong. He's playful with our other stallions and will gladly come up to you when you call his name. He'll soon be apart of our eventing program.
(Small update!) So my game actually died a few weeks ago but I fixed it! Now I have all my horses but not the stable itself...so Black Briar is getting revamped! The new facility is definitely going to better than the last one and is sure to be hosting bigger shows. We will also have boarding options open so keep your eyes out for that. We will also be receiving some new arrivals from other peers here on Equus sims so I'm excited! And finally we have the update on our pregnant mare, Jupiter! She's been showing signs of labor the past few hours so we're hoping the foal will be born sometime tonight or early morning! The staff at the stables are very excited!

One Long Night...Jill groaned as she was viciously shaken. "Jill! Jupiter is in labor!" Her eyes flew open at "labor" and she jumped out of bed, stuffing her feet in her slippers and running down the stairs. Liam was close behind. Jupiter wasn't due for another 2 weeks! The two jogged into the warm air, the barn ahead lighting their entire way. They slipped through the large barn doors and were welcomed to a silent barn except for the small grunting coming from the end of the isle. Jupiter lay on her side her legs pawing at the hay around her while her nostrils flared. This was definitely labor. She maneuvered around the mare and sat by her tail, sure enough she spotted the beginning of small hooves peeking out. Liam stood in the threshold of the stall with the foal cart just to the side of him. Now all they had to do was wait. Sleep was about to take over until she saw the mare shuffle in her bedding. The foals legs were fully visible and she noticed the head making its way out. "Liam." She whispered. The man was sleeping on a hay bale outside and barely moved. "Liam. Baby is a coming! Give me a towel." She heard him role off the bale and curse which made her chuckle. A towel was throne in her direction and the foal was finally at its belly. A smile crept across her face as she noticed the black coloration. A few minutes pasted and the baby was finally curled in front of her. The foal all black with grey points at her legs and a sweet diamond on her nose. She cleaned the baby off and watched as Jupiter swung her head over and licked the filly. Liam came in as well and rubbed the mare's neck.
"She is going to be such a good mom Jill." Liam said with a smile. Jill nodded and rubbed the filly's wet back. That morning, after feeding the horses she saw the filly and Jupiter run out into their run out. The filly was already kicking and being sassy to her mother who seemed to pay no mind to her behavior. Jill giggled when the baby jumped around and tripped. She was almost confident that the baby was going to go grey based on the grey points on her legs and around the eyes. All that was left was a name. She leaned against the fencing and gazed at the diamond on her nose. Prada. It was perfect. Sassy yet sheik and totally unique. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------(Well there ya have it! I'm in a rush so I typed this very quick so I hope this somewhat made sense..) Welcome Prada! Aka "She Wears Prada"

Now that Geo finally hit the age of 7 a few weeks ago, she can finally begin her career in eventing. This mare is powerful, way too sassy and hot headed but shines when she's doing her work. Geostorm came to Jill as a broken 2 year old with her owners saying she had little to no future. The mare was bred from amazing parents but didn't have the spark needed for her handlers. She was sold to slaughter where thankfully nice people bought her sold her to Jill. She is finally going to have an amazing fresh start here at Black Briar. Jill came up with the name Geostorm because of her fiery personality and perseverance. Geo is going to be an amazing new addition to our program and we're hoping she'll complete on the higher side of show jumping and eventing. Her true colors haven't shown in dressage yet so we're taking it slow. Jill has a handful of horses to ride and complete, her main being Moe and Ryan(Mo being her main horse) so she may not have all the time in the world to train this mare. We're currently looking for a person who is willing to part or fully lease. Her rider must be advanced as she is still on the younger side and has much room for bad habits to form. (I'll link a form below and put this in another forum). Feel free to PM me with questions!
Form:
Name: Barn: (Barn page or website): Full or Half Lease: Description of her working routine you plan on: Greatest strength as a rider: Greatest weakness: Are you an active member on Equus.sims and able to post regular pictures of her training?:
