I'm really curious to hear about what the community does riding irl, or for those who dont ride - what they're fav discipline is etc.
IN SUMMARY: I wanna talk about riding disciplines
I'll start off , I'm a dressage rider! which is a bit ironic in my case since I have rarely posts anything about dressage - even though I plan on doing more dressage- I just need to make poses. I got into dressage just because I was really unhappy with my previous discipline, though I wont mention what it was. I just sort of clicked with the discipline, from the start I was told I had a great upper body for dressage (cant say so much for my stubby little legs) I just fell in love with the discipline and the way it felt to feel in-sync with a horse that way! What about you guys?

I love Dressage! I feel like everyone should try it at one point!
I'm an all-arounder, my two horses do a bit of everything. I have a western background and have been doing barrel racing for the past two years, but when I got my first horse,a thoroughbred off the track,I did dressage with her but I plan to barrel race her and do sorting, but with my other Mare she's a Hunter Jumper, But I plan to do eventing with her also C:
But I really want to Trick Ride, there isn't anyone in my city or area that gives lessons on it though.

We're kinda similar, Marquis, because even though I mostly have jumper ponies and never really do dressage photoshoots or so, I'm actually all for dressage and I hate that it's such an underrated discipline! I mean sure everyone must admit that dressage is the base of every English discipline, but still many jumpers consider it compulsory in a negative way.
In real life I'd really love to start training and competing in dressage. I chose show jumping for my barn's discipline just because I enjoy it in the sim world more than dressage. (Plus jumping Welsh Cobs are adorable!) But really, I just want to show people that dressage can also be cool and exciting.

I did some showjumping when my standardbred mare was younger, but she's 26 years old now and fully retired. My warmblood gelding is 22 now and he was never trained to jump, I got him when he was 15... I tried to get him into jumping something small, you know, just for fun, but he was terrified of it. :'D I don't mind, dressage has always been kind of my thing

When i was younger, I absolutely hated dressage and vowed to never memorize another test again. And uuuhhhh my Prix St. George test is laughing at me. I used to do jumping but I switched to dressage after I got older. I now work with a high end barn and it is super fun but also super hard.😁

Another dressage freak here! I practice Academic Dressage though, which includes a lot of handwork from the ground.
