Kayla is the owner of Trillium Equestrian Centre, she has been around horses most of her life, and inherited the original stables from her grandfather. She has a degree in Equine Studies and Equine Business Management. A lot can be assumed when you first see Kayla, but most know that above all else she's gentle and adaptable. Of course she's also sensitive, witty and caring, but in smaller doses and they're often spoiled by habits of being blunt as well. Those who know her, know that she has this little quirk. Travis is very charming, and has a face that is lined with experience. He lost both his parents in a horrific car accident when he was a teenager, and moved in with Kayla's grandparents when they became his leagal guardians. Travis started working at the stablesas a stable hand. He married Kayla when she was 19 and he was 21. They have been together eversince, and have raised 3 children together. Katrina is the oldest child of Kayla and Travis (even though it's by only 5 mins). She tends to be very open minded to most things she has come across, and is always dressed in the latest fashion trends. Katrina spent most of her time as a young girl at her grandparents stables, where she started riding when she was still a toddler, and began her competing career at the young age of 6. Katlynn is Katrina's twin and is younger by 5 mins, which she is consistently reminded of by her sister. She is pretty much the complete opposite of her sister. Katlynn can be a real goody-two shoes sometimes, and learned a lot of what she knows from spending time at the library as a child. Katlynn was bullied during high school, but it would have been way worse if not for her sisters popularity, which kind of kept the bullies at bay. When Katlynn is not training or competing she can be found reading the latest novel or learning some new language. |

Tyler is the youngest child of Kayla and Travis. Even though he is still young, he is very confident and charismatic around his friends, his father though is a totally different story. He will tell you that his father is never happy with his anything he does, but Tyler does have a tendency to exaggerate a little. As a child he was constantly in trouble with his father for causing mischief, but if you ask his mother, Tyler was an angel. Tyler is looking forward to going away to university so he can study to become a veterinarian. |

James was born and raised in a strict religious community in Ireland by his mother. His parents had divorced when he was a child, but he lived comfortably as his father was fairly wealthy. He married his high school sweetheart when he finished university after she became pregnant. James was devastated when she died during child birth. He was left to raise a daughter as a single father. He wanted a fresh start so he moved to Canada, where he continued to research animal behavior. He has been raising young daughter Maggie on his own ever since. |
