Deep in the mountains there lies a river, flowing down to the wide beautiful ocean...

Still trying to get back here, it takes some time to get used to being around again. I promise I'll be better at it.
My passion for editing worlds has always been there, and this time is no different. Once I came home from rehabilitation I had perfectly finished facilities all ready to play in, but I just didn't feel the world anymore. This was in my previous Hallavaara edit, and then it was my own Praaven Edit. Again, none of these two felt right for me at this time, so I decided to go back to a world I started on earlier this spring which I really enjoyed working on. It is no other world than Carmen's amazing Riverside, with a few(a lot) tweaks.
This world means something special to me, it's so 'me', and it's so Norwegian. It's perfect in my eyes. I remember seeing Carmen's beautiful pictures of this world and I knew I had to download it. However, once I had it in my game I realized the colours did not fit my facilities at all. Devastated and sad I continued to search for a new world, but after a while, I couldn't help myself and I decided to learn how to recolour trees and plants for caw especially to this world I cared for so deeply, and so I did. And then my own version of Riverside was born. So the reason why it means so much to me is that I've taught so much during the editing of this world. I learned new sculpting techniques, terrain painting and recolouring.
And it wasn't until recently that I fell in love with this world all over again and realized what a shining diamond I had in my game. I put so much effort, love and time into this world. And none of this would've ever happened without the wonderful world Carmen had created. Of course, I've tweaked this world a lot, but it's still the original world that gave me ideas and you can still find a lot of wonderful things in the original one that I kept in my edit as well. I love the feel of this world, and I can't wait to show it to everyone! There is also a sneak peek of my unfinished facilities here, so enjoy!
Before we begin the picture spam, I just want to apologize for the ugly placing of my logo, I was really tired when I resized the pictures and added it so I did not bother to place them nicely. I hope it doesn't ruin too much of the feel of the pictures. Also, these pictures are untouched, everything is straight from my screenshot folder and have only been resized and watermarked. ♥

reading about your journey with this world makes me so happy for you 😭 and, of course, seeing the actual world itself bECAUSE ITS SO GORGEOUS 💯 (also, what a coincidence; i've been getting back into the swing of recoloring things lately too!  ) the one picture with the fences along the path has me shaking. im so jelly. firstly because of your pretty (and functioning) dof, and then because of your drop-dead gorgeous landscaping and colors. i love the little shrubs along the fences, and the way you made tiny fir trees! your poppy recolor is also really adorable--the soft white goes so nicely with that shade of green. you are honestly such a caw goddess 🙏✨ and then the barn. oh, the barn. words cannot. express. how much. i love. the barn. the detailing with the columns, the dainty little chandeliers, that color scheme, and the layout of it; im? ? how?im super happy that you decided to post this eye candy; seeing your pictures always inspires me a lot ♥ |

Hello there! I am still very inactive, and I have been for a very long time. It all started with my old dog getting ill, once he got better, my newest cat had some complications with the sterilization and she got some kind of rash. Once she finally was on her recovery, my dog ended up in even more problems and he eventually passed away in the summer as I've already told you guys about... The summer has been so hard without him, but I am finally starting to get my life back together after his passing. Still picking it up piece by piece. It takes a lot of time. My dog has, after all, been with me since I was 13 years old. When I finally had some peace with his passing, the hay crisis was starting in Europe, and I was of course hit by the crisis as well. We had to move my horses and it took some time to get used to being on an equestrian centre far away when you're used to having them at home right outside of your house at all times,. Once we finally settled on the new barn, my gelding got lame and has the past month been going through several vet exams, x-rays, and chiropractic. So yes, real life has really kept me busy as hell. (sorry) It's been a pain, but I'm finally starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. So yesterday I finally had some time to sit on the computer, and I decided to work on something I've planned for a long time, and it was soo relaxing to finally work in caw again, it was truly amazing and so much fun! I really hope my motivation is this big in game as well. Time will show. So while I'm working on this huge project, have a sneak peek on what I was working on yesterday! ![]()  ![]()       With this, I'm also happy to announce that big changes are coming! IRL UPDATE
So, I am slowly returning. Again. I've had a stressful end of 2018 and also start of 2019, but still the last half year has been so rich and full of love. After losing my golden retriever almost a year ago, my days still have been a blur and felt hopeless... I knew it was coming, but it just happened so fast at the same time. I mean, I had spent 2 years preparing for this day knowing he would get older, but still it hit me real hard when I had to let him go and I honestly struggled a lot after taking the choice. He was my best friend. Forever and Always. He still is, he will always be. And nothing can change that. I'm so grateful for the lovely years we got together and even though it still brings tears to my eyes thinking about him or writing about him today, I found peace with his passing. I know we will meet again someday. And that's enough for me. Anyway, over to more happy news, let's focus on the love guys! We managed to save the horses during the hay crisis and have had enough food all the way, and our horses have been moved home. Finally. I've missed having them home so much and equestrian centers are just not the thing for me. Things have been easier on the horse front and it has gotten better in general as well. Also a little unplanned suprise: A beautiful April day this year, 7th April to be exact, I was lucky to be the owner of a beautiful little husky pup. And the days have pretty much been filled up with puppy biting, playing and lots of 💩, but also so much love, happiness and fun. Now that I have gotten more used to the daily life as a puppy mom, I also feel more confident in returning knowing that I'll be able to stay active and take care of my pons. I have been around Equus Community for a while after seeing Equus Sims being so dead, but now that changes are coming, I'm ready to wipe dust off my game and really start taking pictures again and of course, making horses and having fun with you guys. but first: DONT CLICK THE SPOILER IF YOU DON'T WANT TO SEE CUTE PUPPY PICS. YOU HAVE NOW BEEN WARNED.
GAME UPDATE
I haven't done much in my game yet other than reorganizing my whole mods folder and deleted over 8,000 packages.. But I have a small treat for you, so this blog will not be all text and boring updates. So in the mean time, take a look at my most recent creation. It's been quiet from this corner for some time now, the time really flies. I don't know why, but I haven't even tried to get my motivation back lately either. It's just been.. dead. It’s like I keep waiting for it to appear miraculously, but I know it won’t happen. After hanging around in slack over at EC, I noticed Elaine's stunning horses that light some sparks in me I haven't felt in a really long while, and suddenly I had a horse from her and I could feel some of my motivation slowly sneak upon me. So here it is, my first actual in-game shots that are not taken in the studio, but out in the open, and I loved it. However, this time it’s just reshade working its magic, I haven't touched anything except resizing and smacking my logo on it, so yes the pictures are pretty much unedited. Untouched. I feel like I have achieved the reshade preset I really could stick with for some time now. I guess that means I’m back. For good this time, I hope.
