Hunting Dawn Stables
We were established in September of 2014 by Miranda Woodson and her husband. When it first started, they only had 3-4 horses and a small amount of land, but we have expanded greatly. Over the years, the ranch was handed down to each generation, keeping it in the family for 4 generations. The newest owners, Willow and her twin sister Delilah run the ranch, with the help of their parents, Sarah and Jake Woodson.
Dawn Acres We branched off Dawn Acres from our main stable because of our rapidly growing number of flat racers. As breeders, Dawn Acres only breeds the finest and top racers. Whether the ride may be bad, or fantastic, we are honored to have horses that give us their all.

FACILITIES Each of our stables has their own set of facilities, based on the needs and disciplines of the stable. Over 100+ acres of land allows us to expand and give our horses the best and everything they need.
Hunting Dawn Stables At HDS, we have plenty of space for our horses. Our section consists of 2 16 stall barns, a large cattle barn, 2 training arenas and 4 large pastures for our horses to roam in. Each horse gets their own turn out that is connected to their stall.
Barn #1
Cattle Barn
Dawn Acres At DA, our facilities aren't as huge as HDS, because we are smaller. Our small stable consists of 2 16 stall barns, 3 basic exercise arenas, 4 large pastures, 1 training racetrack. Plus, each horse gets their own turn out connected to their stall, with a few single or 2 horse turn outs scattered around.
Photos Coming Soon.

The Horses Between the two stables, we have over 70+ horses in our care, but majority of them are over at the sister site, Equus. Here we will only have a select few that we hold dear to our hearts.
More Coming Soon!

Welcome! Welcome to the scrapbook of our two stables! My name is Sadie Woodson and I'm the owner of Hunting Dawn Stables and Dawn Acres. I have been around the community since 2014 with my first stable, Hunting Dawn Stables. Dawn Acres was branched off around 2017. To start off the scrapbook, I have a few photos of the horses around the stables. These horses most likely won't be competed on this forum.
NRR Shadows In The Mist Few Spot Appaloosa Stud One of our first horses that we bought when we first started.
Hunting's The Storm Remains Smoky Black Roan Sabino APH Mare One of our newer homebred horses. She competes in Reining & Working Cow on the sister site and we plan on competing her here.
RWH The Mercedes Kid Black Splash APH Mare More affectionately known as Moo, this cute mare is one of our favorites around the barn. (Don't tell the others though )
Although we have plenty of more horses at our barns, (over 80), these are just a couple of our favorites. The next update will probably have the other horses that we plan on competing here.

Sunberry Horse Show
For our very first show on the new forum, we decided to enter our newest horse. Hunting's Pistols & Roses is a Bay Roan Minimal Tobiano American Paint stallion. He is our first futurity horse at the stables and we are hoping that he excels in our care. We were excited to show off our stud and the show went very smoothly, since he is a very calm horse.

New Arrival Here is a side shot of our current stud, Hunting's Pistols & Roses.
Also, we managed to capture a photo of our newest arrival at the ranch, walking in the pasture with one of our retired studs.
(Unfortunately he won't be competing at this site.)

RL Rebel Pride
RL Rebel Pride, or Rebel around the stables, has been at Hunting Dawn Stables ever since he was a foal. He was the beginning of a great Reining & Barrel Racing line at our stables, following in his mother's footsteps. Rebel has since been retired from competing since he is now 12 years old, but we decided to show him off on this forum as he is one of our quality studs at our stables. We entered him into the Aherne Marwin Stallion Show to show off his beautiful coat and conformation. We hope that he excels in the show.
Here are a couple of extra pictures of Rebel, he is quite the show off when we are taking profile pictures.

Quiet Moments Entries This post is a little late, but I have been busy with school, switching computers, and updating my horses. I managed to enter the Quiet Moments workshop, which I found to be extremely enjoyable and relaxing. It helped me get away from always doing show entries. We entered 2 pictures.
Ava grooming our three new youngsters on a cool summer morning.
After a morning of checking the fences around the property while riding bareback, Ava decided to take a small break. She found a rock to sit down on and read. As she was reading, she could hear the soft huffing of Rebel as he munched on some nearby grass. After a few minutes, she felt a soft muzzle nuzzle her hand. Ava smiled and wrapped her arm around Rebel's head, giving him cuddles.
