About Us
There is a story written by the hoof prints of every ride
Trillium Equestrian (formally Albright Stables) was established in 1980 under the name of Serenity Acres by the late Jon Albright Sr. and had only one barn and 4 horses. At that time we were located in Appaloosa Plains and enjoyed the small community of equestrian lovers. By 1990 the late Jon Albright Sr. had 10 horses and was well respected in the show jumping community. His grandchildren Kayla, Krista and Kyle would come to visit every weekend, and loved being around him and the horses. He gave them riding lessons every weekend, and by the time Kayla was 5 she had started her show jumping career.
After Jon Albright Sr. untimely death in 2010, Serenity Acres was left to his granddaughter Kayla Albright. (Kayla had the most passion for horses). With the help of twin sister Krista, brother Kyle, husband Travis, and their 3 children (Katrina, Katlynn & Tyler) they run the stables. In 2014 Kayla with heavy heart decided to move from Appaloosa Plains and purchased some property in Malakwa, BC, a beautiful little equine community located on the west coast of Canada.
Our Property
Sometimes Dirt, horse hair & Dog Slobber Are just good For the soul
Trillium Equestrian is located on over 100 acres of green pastures surrounded by a forest and mountains that offer peaceful surroundings for our horses and riders. We are a privately owned competition and training facility, which consists of 2 barns, a covered show jumping arena, outdoor dirt training ring, outdoor grass competition ring, cross country course, round pen, hot walker, turn out pens. We have plenty of riding trails throughout our property, for riders and their horses. Currently we house 13 horses, 7 that compete in Show Jumping and 3-Day Eventing, 6 that are used for lessons. We are conveniently located close to our Veterinarian, and are approx. 11 km from Sicamous, where our local race track and Racing Stables are located. Our goal is to offer happy, quality, well trained horses, and to provide riders with a fun, safe, educational place to ride.
