HISTORY 
Valmaxian Stud is a small, quaint facility placed between the mountains in the heart of Norway. We are passionately dedicated to providing superior competitors, with some of the finest bloodlines in Europe.

Our facilities have over 74 acres of lush, airy, open green fields and areas, with parts covered in not only so dense forests but also deep rivers and beautiful lakes. Here all of our horses roam in a herd, au natural, all year round - one of the most natural and sensible ways to keep any horse. By doing it this way, all our horses are born and naturally prepared to deal with various obstacles and they will gain well-developed gaits and movement in all kinds of terrain, which is beneficial in all disciplines: Show Jumping as Dressage. Our vision is to keep our horsemanship as natural as possible. We believe that the fresh smell of mountain air, along with being able to roam freely whenever they desire, is one of the main reasons that all of our home-bred horses are born healthy and always perform exceptionally on the competition arena.

Our breeding program is centred, but not limited, to the young concept Norwegian Warmblood. We are devoted to the breeding of top-quality competitors by emphasizing workability, stamina and temperament. One of our ambitions is to provide well-bred warmbloods of high standards, all excelling in their chosen disciplines. Each stallion from us is carefully selected for their temperament, movement and their conformation. Our mares are handpicked or bred specifically to produce offsprings capable of competing at the same levels or greater than today’s performance horses.

Our team consist of various people both riders, instructors, and grooms: in many experience levels, from novice to advanced. All of our riders will be taught the dressage foundations regardless of their chosen disciplines. We believe that there’s a balance between riding properly, having a horse that performs well and having a healthy horse. At Valmaxian we also believe in the principle beyond riding; where all horses and riders ought to train their balance, strength and do plenty of groundwork before competing or even riding. This ensures that both riders and horses have enough experience and strength to perform regardless of what tasks are assigned to them. This way you’ll always feel secure when your horse in our care.
