Carousel Horse Park Facilities
Pictures to come when I have time
Locations
Carousel Horse Park's main center is in Northern California. Our competition horses, youngsters in training, and sale horses live here together. Most of our staff live on this site to ride and show the horses. Our second location is in Southern California in Del Mar. Our broodmares, foals, and retired horses live on this ranch. Our most experienced foaling vets live almost year round on site to breed and help the mares. Students from the nearby college exercise the horses every few days and experienced handlers help train yearlings before they are sent to the main center.
Weather
The breeding ranch in Del Mar, California is always bright and full of sun. This location is a popular spot for keeping horses because of the sunny weather next to the coastline. The good weather allows us to breed year round without any fear of natural weather problems. Our main facilities in Northern California is much different. We are still close to the coast line, so there is fog almost all year. During the summer it warms up but snows heavily during the winter. The tall pine trees and thick underbrush gives privacy and most of the surrounding land is untouched. This allows us to train and live in peace without any neighborhood noises or problems.
