About Phoenix Hill Farm:
Maxwell Murphy founded Phoenix Hill Farm in 1971 in a quiet part of Cornwall off the coast. He'd lived with his unsupportive parents up until he gained a sponsorship from a jockey club nearby to his home in Wolverhampton. His parents wouldn't allow it but Maxwell was determined to leave them behind. He took the sponsorship, trained and raced and with his earnings he bought Phoenix Hill Farm. It was rusted, rotting and broken down but Maxwell saw the potential besides, it was all he could afford initially. The farm had reflected himself, broken down and struggling but he'd had hope and over the years had added to the farm, renovating and making improvements. Eventually the barn was built, the paddocks, the arena and all the facilities were finished. In between time he met a woman named Elena and she gave birth to their son Callum, but she died during child birth which left Maxwell to bring Callum up by himself. Though they'd been through their difficulties it made them work harder. Twenty years later and Callum is managing the place, Maxwell still owns the farm but as he's getting older Callum has taken over the maintenance and paperwork. Phoenix Hill Farm is now a competition yard and Callum competes the horses with their groom Effie with the encouragement of his father.
