SILVERWOOD EQUESTRIAN Our mission is to produce, bond and train the next generation of champions.
Located in the beautiful scenery of South Australia. Silverwood Equestrian is named after a late family member. Starting as a small farmyard, Silverwood has expanded to breed, love, and train our next generation of champions. Silverwood Equestrian has moved to a smaller quiet facility in the hills to focus our bond, love, and care for our horses. With room to expand, Silverwood is home to 50-plus horses.
Our focus is to breed, bond, train and show in a friendly, relaxed environment while producing high-performance horses. We provide the best environment for our riders and horses to bond and relax. Silverwood Equestrian welcomes all riders to start their equestrian journey and represent our stable. Our horses and riders compete in regional and international competitions in dressage, show jumping, eventing, and show hunter.
Our dreams came true and will be home to many amazing horses and riders for years to come. We are accepting applications from riders, groomers, and stable work who want to join our team during the year. We are accepting applications for student work experience who wish to pursue an equestrian career. Feel free to contact us to inquire.

2023/24 FOAL SEASON Three of our mares have become first-time mothers.
Silverwood Equestrian has welcomed three foals since Spring 2023. Our recent one arrived during the week during the heatwave. SWE Ember was the first to arrive! Mayberry Mullberry and TJS Hot Legz are enjoying being first-time parents and introducing this girl to the herd and her home. Her parents are trained in Eventing and Show Jumping, with Hot Legz being one of our best Eventers. Ember has started to show her speed in the last few months with mummy and daddy having the chase her around the pasture. Daddy is still being very protective over her. Her name means spark and burning low. Burning the flames of the foal's future that can help her flourish and spark love and support. We think this best suits her as she already got a flaming spirit from her dad. She also has a cheeky spirit. TJS Hot Legz has returned to the training arena and begun preparing for the show season. As he is getting older, we have considered retirement, he will still be competing for another few years.
TJS Sunchip has welcomed her foal SWE Altair over the Xmas period. Sunchip had a difficult birth with him, and we weren't sure he was going to make it. She had trouble bonding with Altair and we were deciding whether to separate them and bring in another mare. After a few minutes, she started to bond with him and allow him to feed.
ENS Winds of War delivered her foal during the week, while there was a heatwave. Generous black colt arrived at midnight and has generous similar markings to his mother. He will be train in Show Jumping and Dressage. Our staff decided to name him Midnight as he arrived at midnight over a new moon. With new show name being Midnight Titan. 'Titan' name being from Greek mythology and refers to immortal.
Silverwood Equestrian has a roster of dam and sires we are planning to breed. These foals might be our only foals until the next breeding season, we planned to give some of our horses a break from competing. When Mayberry Mullberry, TJS Sunchip and ENS Winds of War retire from showing, we planned for them to have more offsprings.

NEW BABIES
New horses have arrived over the xmas/summer period.
Silverwood Equestrian had many new faces join our herd and some making a reappearance to our show team. WE welcome NREC Barbie Dream, BHB Red Hawk 'Red', RRS Conquette, Poppy Hill's Thanksgiving Turkey and Supernova NK. TJS Chesterfield, SWE Hades, AE Gator Boy, TJS Mystic Mayham and TJS Majestic have made a reappearance in our show team! We also welcome a new rider Natasha Griffins who will be working with TJS Chesterfield [Original rider was Rachel Silverwood], Muerdago del Valle, Viscum and Margarita HH. We are making changes to our horse and rider arrangement list and some horses will have new riders for 2024.
Kajsa Rose has reappeared at our stable after disappearing with Jace Stone for a year while her mane TJS Sunchip was having her foal. We don't know the story of why she disappeared but hopefully, the story will come out. We are told there will be a rider for our new Welsh Pony! We are excited to be working with this breed.
BHB Red Hawk: Hawk is a cheeky stallion who enjoys the spotlight and the attention of his rider. He has the speed and talent for jumping and technical skills for a dressage horse. He requires little pre-show warm-up time to get ready for a big show. He loves spending time with mares more than stallions. We might have to keep an eye on him to ensure we aren't getting more foals than planned. He loves his treats and will do anything to get a treat. He partnered up with our new rider Annalise Astor to show him the routines at his new home.
RRS Conquette: Conquette is another generous arabian that has arrived. He is a one-rider arabian and enjoys being with other horses the same or similar breed. He loves his treats and enjoys having a cuddle with his rider. He team up with our barn manager Jayden Silverwood.
NREC Barbie Dream: Barbie is a sweet girl that enjoys cuddles and lots of treats. We have to keep hiding the treats from her! Our new rider Annalise Astor is assigned to her and enjoys working with her. Barbie enjoys being one-rider-only horse and loves being with the other arabians. She is cheeky and knows how to get her own way. She has a talent to be a jumper and technique for a liberty horse.
Poppy Hill's Thanksgiving Turkey: Gobble! Gobble is the 'Mr. Reliable' of the show ring, no matter the age or experience of his rider, and is about everything you could ask for in a show pony! Requires little to no pre-ride prep for the show ring and could quite literally be saddled and taken into the hunter ring even after a 3-week break. He is an exceptional show pony who jumps an easy, solid 10 every show pony and has a great rhythmic canter. Gobble is a supper cuddly and friendly little guy who loves to be groomed and have one-on-one time with his rider. While he is a bit on the other side, he would have no problem continuing the rest of his years doing the Cross-rail division or winning the 2' derbies! He will meet his new partner soon when she arrives.
Supernova NK: Our lovely chestnut gray Swedish Warmblood mare has made her way to Silverwood Equestrian. Supernova is a sweet 'puppy' who will do anything to please her person. She does prefer to have a single person, rather than multiple people working with her. She prefers to be around geldings more than mares but is friendly either way. Carrots are the way to her heart and she receives a lot of carrots from her rider Jason Stone.
