Introducing New Horses to the Track: Meet Noble Nebular and Regal Radiance
If you’ve ever handled mares, you know the drill: they’re already full of personality, especially if they’re chestnuts. Now imagine adding a touch of extra spice with a stallion who’s entirely out of his league when it comes to mares. That’s where our story starts.
Meet Noble Nebula—or, as she’s affectionately called around the barn, Nessie. There’s a good reason she shares a name with a certain mythical sea monster. Mornings with Nessie are like tiptoeing around a landmine—get her on the track too soon, and you’ve got a grumpy, fire-breathing mare on your hands! Fortunately, we’ve got Steven, a jockey with nerves of steel, who’s got the knack for handling Nessie’s attitude. He’ll be taking her on race days too, which saves me from giving a crash course in “how to survive Nessie” to someone new.
And then there’s Regal Radiance. His name says it all, right? He’s all class and composure, a true gentleman on the track, even around the mares. It’s rare for a stallion to stay so cool under pressure, but that just adds to his appeal. Regal has plenty of racing experience and shows real promise for adding fresh blood to our thoroughbred line.
As we gear up to get these two running, it's a reminder that every new horse is its own adventure. Nessie might come with her quirks, and Regal with his quiet confidence, but that's what keeps this sport—and this lifestyle—so captivating.
