Most people who mod TS4 have run into the nested folder problem: TS4 limits nested mod folders to two levels, which greatly reduces the ability to sort CC in various categories and sub-categories. This tutorial will show you how to increase the depth of your nested mod folders. It should take less than five minutes using Notepad (or any other simple file editing equivalent) in Windows, and Mac users should presumably be able to use this same method.
Go to your mods folder.
In this folder, there is a file called resources.cfg. This file basically tells the game 'here are the mods and here's how deeply into nested folders you should look for them'. Go ahead and open it in Notepad.
You'll see something like this:

STEP 2:
You'll see something like this:
Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
The lines with the Packed File etc etc essentially tell the game 'look only two folders deep'. To increase the number of folders, simply copy and paste each line and add an extra asterisk and backslash.
Priority 500
PackedFile *.package
PackedFile */*.package
PackedFile */*/*/.package
PackedFile */*/*/*/.package
etc.
PackedFile *.package

PackedFile */*/*/.package

etc.
STEP 4:
After adding however many new lines with asterisks and backslashes, save your file and enjoy your expanded nested folder capabilities :DDD
