Introduction: A wee story.Everything started inside an old pub, somewhere near Glasgow. There was a lot of people, a lot of music and A LOT of beer and drunk folks. Eidan Matthews was the bartender that night. He was still sore from his last injury and kinda saddened by the fact that his dreams about becoming a horse rider were saying goodbye little by little. He was 24 and almost all his friends and family were living far away -if they were living at all- and he was stuck in a teeny tiny town with a lot of free time and too little to live for except from his cat, Marvel, and the fact that he was more than welcome to help in the local horse farm. Mocking stalls and ending the day smelling like a corpse that's been resting on manure for a week? hecking delicious. Lifelong dream for anyone. He was happy though. He had a kinda good job, his bills were paid and his single-kinda-depressed-nerdy-dude apartment was enough. Or at least it was until the night he met them. At some point, three girls entered the pub. One of them had a "Ride or die" t-shirt with a horse on it and riding boots. None of them seemed or sounded scottish by the looks on their face when they saw a drunk fella puking his guts out. A few hours later they were as drunk as anyone else and speaking with everybody around. Our little friend here got the chance of his life while he was cleaning some sticky surface. -So... you ride horses or something? these boots are amazing. After half an hour of horse related topics, she was looking kinda like... this. And that's how it all started.

 That was the text she woke up to. The new arena was almost done - except for the actual sand - and apparently that was already there. The only bad thing was the time for the delivery. It was 4:30 AM and God knew Marina HATED getting up so early in the mornings... or that late at night! Three years had passed since the day she kinda adopted a weird scottish guy. Now she owned some land, a group of broodmares, some stallions and a cute foal army. And a dude that was the chillest person ever unless it was lunch time.
Her bedroom was as messy as her. Lots of equestrian magazines, notebooks with names and coats, future breedings and stuff like that were all over her desk. An old photo album was sitting there too, filled with pictures of her grandmother and the horses she used to own when she was younger and lived in Portugal. The main reason why Eidan had a bedroom for himself was basically the fact that all the free space on Marina's room was filled with paperwork, blankets and energy drinks included. Barn manager at day, hardcore gamer when the darkness comes! She walked down the stairs and arrived to the kitchen. Maybe a few cups of coffee and some lasagna leftovers... and then the screams started. - HURRY UP, DUMMIE! IT'S SO COLD HERE I FEEL LIKE I'M BACK HOME! Some hours later and the job was perfectly done. The sand was really pretty and the indoor arena looked fantastic. So it was time to test it out. Eidan grabbed a rope and a halter and walked down to the pasture, grabbed his favourite mare and walked her to the arena. That mare was a 9 y.o Lusitano named Luciana. She foaled a year and a half ago and was not pregnant yet... and she LOVED her rider to pieces. It was pretty cool seeing them run around and try some dressage moves before lunch time! She's just a tiny girl with a huge talent.  
Later that day, some bad news arrived... some random university students were coming... FOR A WHOLE MONTH. Living near an equestrian university haves it's perks... but also you have people all year long. And Marina's face was saying "we work with horses because we don't really like people tbh". And Eidan was devouring his tikka masala chicken meanwhile.
This is gonna be really fun.

Chapter Two: She's a retired... what?
So... yeah. It's been a while. We've been working a lot this past months and now I have some spare time to give you, my tiny blog.
Something wonderful happened and now we are the proud owners of a huge property with a lot of space for our horses, dogs and barn cats! and so we had to hire someone to help us with everything, so... well. She is a pro rider. She's 46 even though she looks younger than me and she is a retired lawyer. She quitted everything to become a full time equestrian and she even owns her own mare. A stunning andalusian cross that happens to be a retired bullfighter.
What a crazy world we are living in. But seeing them in action and performing dressage and tricks is something very magical for us.
Our plans now are to finish our 3 y.o mares training and putting both Carioca and Petra under saddle before summer arrives and we have to shave everybody. I hope this year isn't as hot as the past one!

Guess who's back! + IRL updates (kinda)Well... the last months have been pure hell. My 20 y.o mare that I owned since she was 4 months old had to be euthanized and a few weeks later my 5 y.o relationship ended too. I've been around ES and trying to keep my blog updated there but I really can't cope with a lot of stuff that's been happening and I took a break from here and a lot of other places and games.
It's been a hard summer and I can't wait for it to end and never come back lol
But yeah. I'm back here, basically. With a ton of new horses and a ton of new things to say!
