"Catey"
Catey is a recent purchase made by our boarder, Emma. Emma is 19 and ready to climb the ranks. Emma rode under my parents for 5 years and recently started riding under my instruction 2 years ago, she's a goodhearted kid but her confidence needs work. Her not so horse savvy parents purchased her Catey for her 19th birthday, this stunning mare is from my friends at Ridgecaster Estates, she is 7 years old and almost as mare-ish as you can get. There is a good heart somewhere in there, though, once you get through all of the attitude and naughty behaviors. She was sold to Emma's family as an eventer, and the sellers were not untruthful, it's obvious this crazy mare is talented and can go far. But she needs strong guidance and a consistent work schedule. Emma's first few rides haven't gone completely according to plan, taking her first major fall off of the mare within the first week, she was comfortably jumping 3ft courses with her old rider, and cruising around 2'6 with me, and then Emma, aboard. But when this mare's had it, she has had it. We thought we could try dressage but... no thank you. Emma is getting a bit discouraged after nearly a year of 2 steps forward and ten steps back. The mare has had chiro, teeth checked and floated, massages and PEMF therapy, but so far, nothing has helped. Here's hoping we find a magical cure, I don't think this poor girl can handle getting thrown with absolutely no reward for much longer.

SO, I recently found myself in a relationship with a friend of a friend, Logan, we met at a party at Liana's a while back and ever since we've been pretty inseperable so we decided to make it official! Logan is not at all horsey but he is trying to hard! So far he and my favorite stud, Fox Hill's Bachelor #2 (aka Batch), are getting along famously. Batch is my #1 guy so I'm happy Logan understands and supports it. We were goofing around last night and this happened, this was the exact moment when Logan yelled "LOOK MA, NO HANDS!" Thank God that Batch doesn't spook easy haha.
I'll try to keep you guys as updated as possible.♥

Fox Hill's Pirate Life For Me , "Pi". 5 Year old Appendix QH
Our mare, Fox Hill's Pirate Life For Me aka Pi, making her debut in the jumper ring. Pi lost her right eye after a pasture accident when she was a yearling. But it doesn't hinder her at all! She is half blind but all fire and work ethic. She is a fierce competitor and we cannot wait to see what the future holds for her! (Eye socket marking made by my friend Luna, who was kind enough to make it for me when I failed at it for two weeks straight.)  |
