Stall Björkegård is the dream-come-true of me and my best friend Liam. Our journey together begun on first grade, when I started taking riding lessons at a barn nearby and dragged Liam with me. Eleven years later we applied to an equestrian education center in Sweden together. We got in, spent three years studying and living as roommates and came back to Finland as a riding instructor and a horse trainer. We got jobs at the barn we used to ride at, and we worked there for two years, saving money and gathering up all the experience we possibly could.
It was always a dream of ours to have a barn one day, but after studying and working in the field the dream got a lot more realistic. In October 2016 an old cattle barn went on sale in our home village of Västanvik. It was in need of some serious renovation, but it came with the surrounding land and was in our budget. Feeling that this was a once-in-a-lifetime chance we bought the place. We begun to renovate and build, and in late 2018 Stall Björkegård officially came to existence.
