My gosh, I honestly don't really remember. Must have been like 5 or 6 years ago, back when we were on that old forum. I remember losing my mind over the fact sims 3 had ponies in and realising I could mod my game however I wanted which I think is how I stumbled onto here. Not too long ago I actually found my old photobucket account (which may or may not have contributed into me crawling back again...) and oh my, some of the pic in there are so bad! I still have pics from when we did that olympic competition and had groups of us representing different countries back when the olympics were in london (btw we should totally do that again, it was so fun and really got people more involved and talking to each other). The very first show I won was a stallion show that Lidija organised (I was so chuffed with myself which is why I remember it so easily) back when I didn't have a clue how to create coats or good looking ponies. Just saying, you guys got me through some tough times in school and college and really expanded my knowledge on horses in general as well as improve my photo taking and photoshopping skills (although they're still really bad)

Zofia Gallagher We are for sure bringing team shows back! I still have pics from that event too. I had so much fun teaming up with Mandy and Erin. Also Lidija Rotherford needs to bring her stallion shows back to life. I would be happy to sponsor and/or give her my ribbon mesh if she wants to use it! I'm really glad you found Equus to be a helpful place. I'm glad you're back

We might just have to work something out I heard of ES when I just installed Sims3 and wanted downloads for my horses. Sooo I found this little site that had a chatbox on the side and the rest is history. It grew from there and I've been in this community for 7 years now!

My story is pretty underwhelming, I had already been making a crap ton of horse stables in sims when I first got it in 2011. I was looking at CC in like 2014 and found Lakeside Saddlery, and with that I was introduced to the actual community, and I googled images of sims horses when I was bored and somehow stumbled onto Equus Sims from those pictures in about 2015. I had an account and whatnot, and I made edits but I never posted them, I just made them for myself till eventually when the new forum was introduced I joined and started posting. Then the new new forum was introduced and here we are. So I can confidently say I've been doing horse related sim stuff for like 7 years, but only recently became social. (for fun here's one of the earliest screenshots I could find)

I've been a member of equus since summer of 2014. I was looking for cc for my horses and stumbled across the forum. Have had the same character since the beginning, but have gone through a few stable name changes.

Is this still ongoing? I'm gonna answer anyway! I have been a member of ES before - several times actually - but I've always ended up taking on more than I could handle. Seeing all those looovely stables, worlds, horses and so on, I wanted to be part of it with my own originality. But making my own world, own horses, own stables from the very start, made me lose motivation quickly, and so I never really got into the community. Now I'm back. Unfortunately I don't have a capable machine to play on yet, but hopefully, in a few months time, I'll have a beast that can handle the job. My daytime job is being a self-employed equine photographer, and with that comes traveling to different countries during the year, and almost always being on the road. So I'm telling myself, that this time I'll just take it easy, do whatever I feel like doing, and start with using some of the amazing stuff created by other members! For now I'll be having fun with creating my stable, story and main goals!
