Our Quarter horses are enjoying their daily turn-out in the pastures! In the midst of preparing them for upcoming shows and getting them ready for this year's breeding season, they're given plenty of free time to just be horses. We have our stallions, Johnny (palomino), Cheese (bay dun) and Bubba (chestnut) conversing, while our ladies Shakira (palomino) and Chick (dark bay) are sharing a snack.

As breeding season grows near, the time for some general checkups have arrived for the ladies at Heartlock! Our two quarter horse mares, Shakira (palomino) and Chick (dark bay) were checked by Filly, who was assisted by our resident vet, Tilly. Both mares were cleared, meaning that we'll be seeing the very first generation of home-bred foals at the ranch!

I loved seeing this so much! I shared it in this past week's Paper. 🤭 The lounge has such a cozy holiday vibe! Hope to see Filly hanging out in there...with you know who, perhaps? (I know. An utterly scandalous notion. But this is maybe why Morgan has threatened Ryan with office cameras on more than one occasion.)
