Located just 40 minutes outside of Copenhagen, the Capital City of Denmark, Askelund is a modern, private equestrian center. Owned by -the still young- widow, Mrs. Lillesøe, the property has been undergoing a big facelift through the last couples of years. Now Askelund is ready to welcome new customers to the stables.
The main focus is for breeding and training some of the top dressage horses in the world. The breeding program is mainly focusing on Warmbloods, including Hanoverians, Oldenburgs and Danish Warmbloods, but also a few other types are included. The horses get their basic training in the age of 3-4 years old. All horses have a special educational plan, but there are also time to have fun in the paddocks, arenas and in the stable.
