EA Horse Makeover ContestEnds November 13th
Sometimes it's nice to get away from the hustle and bustle of running a barn, and just have some fun. Whether that be indulging in some time off, or spending the day taking the perfect photo of your blog, everyone has different ways to just get away for a little while. Today, however, let's have some fun with a good old makeover contest!
What is the 'EA Horse Makeover Contest'?
The point of this challenge is for you to go out and find one of those wild EA horses around your world. You know which ones I'm talking about. They usually have funky conformations, funky coloring, and they're probably shiny. So, so shiny. After choosing your wild EA horse, you take them into CAS, and give them a big makeover! In this thread, you'll post the before and after of your work!
Rules
- Don't change the general color of your EA horse! If you pick a bay, the end result needs to stay a bay, so choose your horse wisely!
- Please pick one of the horses from a wild herd running around your world. (If you absolutely have to keep wild herds disabled, you can use a premade EA horse from the bin)
- There aren't any classes, so if you want to edit your photos, go for it! Just include a link somewhere to unedited before/after photos, but go all out!
- There isn't a limit as to how many EA horses you can remake, just have some fun!
- Pick whatever breed you'd like for your horse, there are no guidelines for them except for color and gender.
- If you want to choose a foal and age it up, you may. You can also choose a foal, and keep it a foal.
Entry Requirements
Each entry will require at least two conformation photos -- One 'before' photo, and one 'after' photo -- but more than two images are allowed and encouraged! While it's not a requirement that you include a story about the horse you've remade, please include their age, name, breed and gender. But have fun with it, those stories are so much fun to read, and give the entry so much personality! (There's no specific formatting, that's up to you)
Judging
Once this event has ended, judging will be based off a community vote. I'll add in a poll once the deadline has ended, and the results will be announced. Anyone can vote, not just those who participate!
Deadline: November 13th, 2019
Prizes
All participants will receive the mini marking pack below, which includes six face markings! The three entries with the most community votes will receive two custom facial markings (or leg markings) from me.
Have Fun! Questions? Put them in the thread!

What a nice idea !
I have two former wild horses in my stables, so I will introduce them but I remade them some time ago so I think I will try to make another one (or two) for this contest !
First, I will tell you about WINTER
Winter is a 6 years old Clydesdale mare.
I saw here roaming alone in town. She had no herd, it was winter and she was looking for food in people's gardens. I had to snatch her from wilderness
I sent my vampire sim to make friend with her but she was very shy so I had to cheat cause I am not very patient.
She was brought home and now she lives with 5 sims, 2 cats and 1 horse.
I didn't change much : no shine, color of tail, black ends, face markings and eye, mare détails... I think that's all ! Not a spectacular makeover but it is for fun, yeah ?
Before and after (sorry, I have only night pictures for the "before" and my game is currently lagging so I made what I could for the "after" picture...)
I think some people will use cc sliders to make the conformation better but I didn't

Second horse is Rosario.
She is a 8 years old mustang mare.
She was part of a wild herd from Appaloosa Plains.
She was captured and is now a brood mare.
She was old, so I made her younger, removed the shine and gave her a realistic pattern and dark ends. I know it is very different from her original pattern but I had to try new things I had just downloaded at that time.
Before (before she became old) and after :

Love this idea! I've always cringed at EA's rng horses and I used to give them makeovers all the time when pets came out!
I decided to do two for now, one I chose because I simply liked his color, and the other to help the poor mare breathe haha
On one of Northern Ridge Stable's monthly auction stops two uh, interesting looking horses were spotted in the pens this month and were swiftly bought in hopes of rehabbing the pair and to be trained.
My first runner up, Elijah.
Elijah (stallion) is estimated to be 10 yrs old, and is surely a mutt. Thought to be some sort of Przewalski descendant X Mustang cross, he has similar colors to the famous przewalski's wild horse, but he has a lot of conformation inspired from mustangs. Elijah also has the attitude of both, being very stubborn in the first few weeks, but eventually came-to with our trainers and he enjoys simple trails for now.
To edit this lovley boy I used a range of sliders to fix his general confirmation and shape, some shaders to make him pop with minimal coat work and some nice tack to complete him
Now, my second contestant for this Mustang Makeover; Evie.
Evie (mare) is estimated to be around 15 yrs old. It's obvious just looking at her that she has a large amount of Arabian in her blood. It's questionable to think she came from the wild but the wranglers say she was with a herd so I suppose its possible, but you don't see too many wild Arabians, at least in this country. Likewise Evie has the spirit of one, very high headed and has lots of energy. Martin, our senior trainer has been able to get her under control but she's far from her companion Elijah in trail riding, she likes to go and in turn has been handed over to our barrel racing trainer Lesley in hopes she'll be able to convert her crazy energy into a barrel racing machine.
To edit this girl, as the same with Elijah, I used a range of sliders to fix the botched attempt at an Arabian from EA, mixed some shaders together with some basic coat work and finished her off with some nice tack.
Getting pretty late where I am so I'll add in some more story based pictures tomorrow
Not sure if allowed, but if so theses lovelies will be available for adoption after the contest

Meet WP Britannica! An 8 year old, black, hanoverian mare found at a fishing lake. I used sliders to give her a fuller body and head, whilst adding shines and shadings to give her some realism. I also changed the colour of her mane, and got rid of the odd purple tones on her coat.

This is (Kilborn's) Acorn. I know it's quite an odd name, but that was his name, when I bought him. He could do with a renaming though, in my opinion at least, some might find his name cute - what do I know Anyway, he is a 5 year old Dutch Warmblood Stallion, but I'm quite sure he has some Oldenburg and/or Thoroughbred blood in him. He is also born with a back that is a little short, but he seems to enjoy himself anyway. His favorite discipline is Show Jumping and that he has just sniffed to/graced with poles on the ground (more pictures of that later!). I changed the colour of his mane and tail, so it matched the coat a little better. Then I put on some shades (gave him some white markings too), fixed the opacity of some of the markings, played a little with the sliders (and hence gave him a quite short back, I can see that now) and then he was done! I decided to do a second horse, and I might do more, bc I found this horse in the game, and needed to redo him. His name is Kilborn's Wurstlizer. He is a German Sports Horse, but nobody really knows his age. I have estimated that he is around 8 years old or so. I had a hard time deciding if he could count as a bay (bc of the legs and dark mane), but I decided he looked most like a chestnut, so that's what he is. He had a blue eye on the other side, in game though, so I decided he was a minimal splash, and let him keep the blue eye. I just played a little with the sliders (and somehow made him really skinny, sorry! Just realized this when I was out of the game), corrected his colour (removed the purple markings) and gave him some shine, and then he was ready to go!

Meet Domino, a quirky 5 year old Knapstrupper mix. Quite some work was put into his makeover but I think it shows. Besides his now lovely build, he also has a really sweet face. Now what's this fella like? Domino is quite a troublemaker. He loves to play and escape and now and then pulls a little "prank" on his groom by pretending to be dead. Quite weird but he simply seems to love all the attention he gets. He has a lot of energy wich shows once he's under the saddle, lunging first is highly recommanded! Currently Domino is still in training to one day become a succesfull eventer Before: after:

I found this little horse roaming free around Appaloosa Plains; she was some hectic match between chestnut and bay; I updated her to be chestnut because she looked more like that, just with black mane & tail. If she'd had black legs, I'd have made her bay. Her conformation was just as crazy; she was too small to be a pony so I sized her up into a more regular type of Warmblood but she has no specific breed right now. This was a fun challenge, thanks for hosting! <3

PALO Palo was rescued by the local Equestrian Center and sent to Devon Hills for some spa care and training. He got his nickname from his soft golden coat. He was a sweet horse from the beginning and took the training in stride. Palo's got his base for english riding and was immediately adopted by this event's host, Madi .
COCADA Cocada was found grazing in an abandoned property. She was one fat pony and really only needed some exercising and coat care. She's one bossy mare out in the field and she put all the warmbloods in their places. Cocada's got that skittish arabian vibe and went to a home suited for her breed singularities with Breanna Longhenry .
ORTEGA Found with Cocada, this girl surprised everyone with her quick transformation. She showed some spring to her step once her oats kicked in and it didn't take long to realize she was one athletic horse. This one will stay at Devon Hills, probably forever.

[googlefont=Caveat] [attr="class","christinaplays"]meet reba, the horse of a different pattern. Reba is a "heinz 57" horse with no pedigree, but we suspect some cold blooded roots with her size and temperament. She's roughly 7-9 years old and has been adopted by the O'Neil Riding Academy to train as a hunter. We look forward to seeing her during the upcoming 2020 show season.
Thank you for hosting this!! It was so much fun. Looking forward to the next one.[newclass=.christinaplays]font-family: Caveat; font-size: 20px; line-height: 22px;[/newclass]
